The Kyro Group strengthens its management by appointing MSc (Econ.) Kimmo Lautanen, 47, as a new Group CFO. Lautanen's most recent CFO position was with brewery Oy Hartwall Ab for three years.

Lautanen has extensive international experience in finance. Before Hartwall he held a finance director position altogether for fifteen years in the Swiss medical and chemicals group Ciba Specialty Chemicals in, among other countries, Japan, Korea and most recently in France, responsible for Southern Europe.

- Improving profitability and developing a unified global group demands long international experience. These issues are Kyro's top priorities, so Kimmo Lautanen strengthens our management team on the right moment, says Kyro Group President & CEO Mika Seitovirta.

Kimmo Lautanen's starting date is 15 March 2007, and he will report to the President & CEO. Vesa Hopia, who has held the position of CFO before Lautanen, will from the same date on be responsible for Kyro's treasury management as Group Treasurer, reporting to the group CFO.
