Gulf Glass exhibitors to top 200

Date: 19 July 2013

With virtually all of the available floor space for this year’s Gulf Glass exhibition (3-5 September, Dubai), now reserved, and with offers under negotiation for what would be in excess of the small amount that remains, exhibition director Derek Burston has confirmed that this year’s event will see well in excess of 200 exhibitors, making it the fourth largest international glass in the industry for certain, and potentially the third once the remaining offers are confirmed.    “Since its inception, Gulf Glass has always targeted Dubai as a natural home” he says, “and now we have seen the reason.

We now expect to have perhaps as many as 240 companies exhibiting at this year’s event, more than doubling previous outings, with a fantastic spread of countries on show”.

In fact, with around 20 countries represented, Gulf Glass is potentially one of the most international exhibitions in the industry. What is more, rather than locating itself in an increasingly less important location, it has the attraction of being at the centre of the action; not just locally, but globally.

“The great thing is that Gulf Glass, whilst being in the middle of a region with high potential, is also being seen as a truly neutral venue, providing equal status to all countries who wish to demonstrate their abilities and technologies to what is a global market” Burston adds.

“This year’s Gulf Glass will be the largest yet, and with our permanent home now fixed in Dubai, the potential for the event to continue growing in the future, not just from a MENA perspective, but as an international meeting place in the off-year from the Glasstec event in Duesseldorf” he adds.
