The Architects' Forum, held at the Hyatt Regency Long Island at Wind Watch Hotel & Golf Club, is a day-long program focused on continuing education for architects.Industry experts will lead six different information-rich sessions on the latest glass technologies. One of those experts is Leigh Anne Mays, Guardian’s Architectural Design Manager for the Northeast. Mays will present “The Evolution of Glass and High Performance Coatings,” an interactive presentation on the basics of glass, glass coatings and manufacturing; common energy terms in glass and glazing; glass trends and important design considerations; and energy cost savings when using high performance glass. The one-hour presentation takes place March 7 at 11 a.m. Architects and others attending The Architects’ Forum will earn one AIA learning unit from each session, totaling six for the day. Registration is free and lunch will be provided.
Guardian will also be an exhibitor at Glass Expo Northeast, March 7-8, 2013, at the Hyatt Regency Long Island, held in conjunction with The Architects’ Forum.
