Guardian Introduces SunGuard® SNX 50/23

Date: 8 April 2014

Guardian Industries announces SunGuard® SNX 50/23 in Europe, its first solar protection glass with a light transmission equal to 50% and a solar factor of 23% in a standard insulated glass unit.  Guardian is introducing in Europe its new solar protection glass SunGuard SNX 50/23.

After the development of the SunGuard SNX 60/28, this new triple silver coating will extend the state-of-the-art solar protection range of SunGuard eXtra Selective.

The newest addition to the Guardian SunGuard portfolio offers a world-class selectivity thanks to its natural daylight transmission of 50% and a solar factor of 23% - more than twice as much light versus heat. “No other SunGuard glass available today delivers this much light with so little heat,” says Sidney Vastenhout, European Commercial Segment Manager, Guardian Industries.

Ideal to create a modern façade and comfortable building, the SunGuard SNX 50/23 is available in both annealed and heat-treatable (HT) versions. “Because of its exceptional performance and aesthetics, the SunGuard SNX 50/23 is a great fit for architectural projects across Europe,” adds Vastenhout. “The SunGuard SNX 50/23 is neutral in appearance, giving architects and designers a brand new option to reduce energy costs and meet the most stringent energy codes in Europe without sacrificing appearance.

Guardian has an extended knowledge of glass applications and a team of highly qualified specialists who are there to advise specifiers on its products and their use.
