Guardian Industries To Close Glass Fabrication Plant In Walled Lake

Guardian Industries has confirmed it plans to close a small glass fabrication plant in Walled Lake later this month.

Amy Hennes, Guardian spokeswoman, said Wednesday, March 31 the Walled Lake plant was closing because of continued reduction in business and the ongoing slowdown in the economy.  The plant will close by April 22, she said.After the plant closes, Guardian's other fabrication units will handle the glass fabrication and custom tempering services now done in Walled Lake.
 
 Guardian is working with all 24 employees to assist them in securing other employment including working with local recruiting firms, Hennes said.
