Guardian Demonstrates the Latest in Advanced Architectural Glass and Digital Tools at AIA National Convention

Date: 26 June 2014

Architects and designers looking for both energy efficiency and design inspiration will have many industry-leading Guardian glass products to evaluate at the AIA Convention in Chicago June 26-28.

Guardian will showcase its large compliment of commercial, interior and residential glass and glazing products in Booth 1013 at AIA.In addition, Guardian will demonstrate its new Glass Visualizer, an addition to Guardian Glass Analytics intended to accurately render coated glass products under varying lighting conditions. The Glass Visualizer is a one-stop shop for comprehensive evaluation, selection and specification of glass.

“Architects are very visual and AIA is an opportunity for them to see and experience our newest products and services,” says Chris Dolan, Guardian’s Director of Marketing for North America Flat Glass. “At this year’s booth they can see for themselves how the Glass Visualizer and the complete Glass Analytics package work together. And, how our new products, like SNX 51/23 and Spandrel HT, can support their vision.”

SunGuard SNX 51/23 offers an industry-best combination of visible light transmission (51 percent) with an ultra-low solar heat gain coefficient (0.23). Designed to meet the most stringent energy codes in North America, SNX 51/23 gives architects a new option to reduce energy costs, particularly in climates where solar heat or excessive glare is an issue.

SunGuard Spandrel HT, a new glass product for North America, is installed between building floors or vision glass areas to conceal structural and mechanical components. It can create a seamless and aesthetically pleasing look to a façade and conceal interior views from the outside.

Architects and interior designers will also want to visit Booth 1013 to see the clarity of Guardian ShowerGuard Low-Iron. Part of the Guardian InGlass collection, this new interior glass product reduces the greenish cast of standard float glass for enhanced clarity, allowing the design and color of showers and bathrooms to shine through.

Other Guardian InGlass products and Guardian ClimaGuard residential products will also be on display.
