Visitors to the Guardian display (Booth 1137) will experience Guardian’s commitment to sustainable design and energy efficiency through the latest innovations in glass products and tools for the design and build community.
“We are embracing the ‘Greenbuild Nation’ theme – the concept that we’re all part of a greater sustainability effort,” said Chris Dolan, director, Commercial Glass Marketing for Guardian. “From high performance products for different climate zones, to digital tools that allow supply chain members to work together more efficiently, our award-winning products and services offer the building team the means to achieve greater efficiencies across multiple applications.”
Booth 1137 will feature Guardian’s newest advanced architectural glass products. SunGuard Neutral 78/65 is designed for heating-dominated climates, and SunGuard SNX 52/23, a triple silver low-E product available Q1 2014, delivers an unprecedented combination of high light transmission and a low solar heat gain coefficient with a neutral blue color.
Guardian team members will provide onsite demonstrations of Guardian’s new web-based BIM Generator – the first tool that populates BIM content with manufacturer data for thermal and optical performances of custom, commercial project-specific IG makeups. The BIM Generator and Guardian Energy Performance Calculators are part of Guardian Glass Analytics, which recently earned a Product Innovation Award (PIA) from Architectural Products Magazine.
The booth will also feature two new residential glass products launched this year that help window manufacturers meet and exceed energy standards across North America. ClimaGuard 72/57 Guardian ClimaGuard Glass - Energy Efficient Windows was created for northern climates to take advantage of the sun’s natural light and heat. This product has an uncommonly low U-factor, a neutral color for outstanding aesthetics and a high visible light transmission. Guardian ClimaGuard 53/23 was designed for southern climates and provides unmatched solar protection while maintaining light transmission and crisp views. This triple silver low-E product has a super-low solar heat gain coefficient. The two products earned Guardian a Green Award from Door & Window Manufacturing Magazine.
Another PIA Award winner, and a Top 50 Product as named by Retrofit Magazine, is Guardian Reveal, part of the Guardian InGlass portfolio of advanced interior glass products. Reveal delivers both transparency and privacy with the flick of a switch. Reveal will be one of many industry- leading Guardian InGlass products on display at Greenbuild that allows architects and designers to bring more light into a facility.
