Glass Service (GS), headquartered in the the Czech Republic with offices in the Netherlands, U.S.A, China and Slovakia, is a leading consultant in the field of glass melting, furnace control, operation, troubleshooting, and optimizing furnace designs.

GS programmers have developed in-house mathematical modeling software enabling the optimization of glass melting and combustion processes in glass furnaces and forehearths. More than 400 different projects have been completed using GS software. GS has its own laboratory for glass defect analysis and for basic and applied research in the field of glass melting. GS analyzes more than 2,000 defects yearly.

In recent years, GS has invested considerable effort into developing a new technology called a “Supervisory Advanced Control System” using our proprietary software called the Expert System - ESIIITM. More than 45 installations have been successfully deployed worldwide.

Additionally, GS has extended its activities in the area of customer performance improvement. GS IMPROVE, operating from our Maastricht office, works with customers to evaluate production performance. Based on this evaluation, suggestions are made which will lead to cost savings, energy savings, increased yield, extended furnace lifetime, and emissions reduction. Forming simulation of sheet glass, fiber, tubing and hollowware will be presented in Glass Service’s booth.

GS would be pleased to meet you at Glasstec 2006 in Booth No. 13A17.
