Speculation and rising global demand are pushing up prices, which have been rising sharply in some cases. Shortages of some raw materials are also exerting further pressure on prices and unfortunately no short-term turnaround is predicted.
Polymers, resins and plasticizers, the fundamental raw materials for Fenzi’s paints and sealants, no longer cost the same as they did some months ago. In order to maintain high quality products where only raw materials from the most reliable suppliers worldwide are used, the company will apply increases of up to 15% to all its products in April 2011.
«We recognize the difficulties that these increases may represent for our customers», said Alessandro Fenzi, the managing director of the group, «Unfortunately as things stand at the moment people like us who, for 70 years now, have refused to compromise on the quality of our products and raw materials, have no other alternative ».
The Fenzi group has been producing chemicals for flat glass processing, which include reliable mirror sealants and paints, decorative paints and architectural paints, and has continued to grow ever since it was established in 1941. Over the years, its superior quality products and trustworthiness have won over the international glass industry, earning the group its reputation as a worldwide leader in this sector.
