The structure of a facility as virtual twin in a simulation environment is an important component of Industry 4.0. The virtual commissioning in a simulation environment already allows for tests without involving the real facility itself.

Therefore, virtually all functional errors and errors relating to sequencing can be detected.  The risks of commissioning on site are nearly eliminated.
