Edgetech will present its complete product range, including of course the highlight - Super Spacer® TriSeal(tm), the top architectural award winner from the architecture journals xia IntelligenteArchitektur and AIT a fensterbau/frontale this year.
At the exhibition booth in hall 17/D60, double-glazing production with a manual applicator will be demonstrated. Additionally, Stolker Glas from the Netherlands will present its Hot Melt sealing technology; and the Finnish business Sparklike will not only show their Gasglass® instrument, but also their Gas Filling machine. At the main Edgetech booth in hall 14/E08, visitors can find the entire Super Spacer® range.
Edgetech's Super Spacer® TriSeal(tm) with TrueWARM® NO-Metal technology easily surpasses traditional aluminum spacers in terms of thermal insulation and condensation protection properties as well as surface temperature. Super Spacer® TriSeal(tm) can be adapted quickly and also completely automatically for normal or structural glazing in all shapes and forms. Furthermore, like its aluminum equivalent, it is completely compatible with silicone sealant and other types of sealant such as polyurethane, polysulphide, DSE/DSA and Hot Melt butyl adhesive, as is used for permanent glazing.
Glasstec is a good opportunity to take stock of the past few months, which for Edgetech Europe have been excellent. Torsten Keemss, Managing Director, Edgetech Europe GmbH: "We can certainly look back over a very successful first six months: 2006 has been characterized by rapid growth, important new, strategic partnerships and very positive feedback regarding our successful turnover in Europe and the United States."
The most recent news of success comes from Greece: Edgetech was able to gain Pedros Magnisalis & Co. in Thessaloniki as a distributor here. Torsten Keemss: "Due to the extreme climatic conditions, Greece is ideal for the appliance of Super Spacer® and we are happy to have further extended sales in southern Europe."
In Europe, Edgetech was able to further strengthen its market position: Turnover increased by around 60% in comparison with the first half of 2005. This meant that already ambitious aims were not only met, but greatly exceeded. Regarding certification on a European level, Edgetech now has not only passed the IFT (German Window Technology Institute) exam in accordance with the EN1279-2 + 3 and the exam on thermal transfer coefficients set by the Fraunhofer Institute of Building Physics, but the company has also passed relevant regional tests.
Edgetech can also report back successfully from the United States. In July 2006 Edgetech crossed the magic threshold of 1 billion feet of spacer produced, which is equivalent to around 304.785 kilometers or over 7.5 times the earth's circumference. The Governor of Ohio, Edgetech's home state, also honored the phenomenal turnover and excellent export figures. Governor Bob Taft awarded Edgetech with "Exporter of the Year 2006". Worldwide, over 80 fully automatic product lines and semi-automatic applicators are currently in operation for Edgetech's Super Spacer®.
Incidentally, the fully-automated applicator from Lenhardt Maschinenbau GmbH of the Bystronic Group can be seen opposite Edgetech in hall 14, booth E24. Edgetech's Super Spacer® and Super Spacer® TriSeal(tm) are used fully-automated on this machine. The same can be examined as always at Lisec's booth in hall 17/D 35. For.El. in hall 16/C19 will be showing their automated Super Spacer® line and introducing new D-Spacer full automation at the same time.
