Dow Corning High Performance Building Solutions team member named a top influencer in glass & glazing industry

Stanley Yee honored by USGlass magazine - A façade expert from the Dow Corning High Performance Building Solutions team has been formally recognized as a top industry influencer.

USGlass magazine recently named Dow Corning Façade Design and Construction Specialist Stanley Yee one of "The Glass & Glazing Industry’s Most Influential People."Yee: ‘The needs of the built environment... are calling for a paradigm shift’Featured on the cover of the November issue of USGlass, Yee is among a select group of people profiled by the magazine as part of its annual list of glass and glazing industry influencers.Individuals on the list were nominated by their peers and selected by the magazine’s editorial team.

In his interview with the magazine, Yee discusses the challenges facing the glass industry, what he wishes the glass industry would learn, his own challenges, and a bit about his personal and professional background.

"Change (is the number one business challenge in the glass industry)," Yee said in the interview. "These are exciting times for those who embrace this challenge and innovate through creativity and collaboration. Those who do not respond to this challenge risk being left behind."

Yee, a LEED® Accredited Professional, joined Dow Corning in 2012 with nearly 20 years of experience in the building enclosure industry, working with curtainwall-contracting, façade-consulting and enclosure-detailing specialists both nationally and internationally. His specialties include design assistance and support; building enclosure air, water and thermal control; waterproofing; and testing enclosure performance. Yee earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in building engineering from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. An active member of several industry organizations, he is an elected officer of the Board of Directors for the Glass Association of North America (GANA), representing the Energy Division.
