The new range features exclusive motifs that play with light giving architects and designers the opportunity to express their vision to create unique interior spaces. These products will hit the European market in late October 2012.

Beyond light

Oltreluce patterned glass delicately filters variations of light while boldly displaying its contemporary look: a medium for the surrounding environment and a surface with extraordinary aesthetic qualities.

Oltreluce was designed to go beyond simple transparency. It’s always fascinating to see how anything - whether a skyscraper or any other object - connects and plays with light.” says Michele De Lucchi. He continues: “The idea of exploring the expressive possibilities of glass in an effort to transcend its very nature was fascinating. Helping to forge a new and exciting identity for this kind of glass was a thrilling design challenge.”

Three exclusive patterns

The collection goes beyond mere patterned glass, featuring surfaces of unusual transparency and transforming the natural characteristics of glass - stretching it beyond light to achieve a whole new level of expressiveness. Designers have a choice of three exclusive patterns:

Waves: Separating, but not dividing. This design creates flowing environments and endless reflections of light, striking a perfect balance between transparency and opacity.

Circles: The surface of this design is punctuated by engraved beads of varying depths, creating levels of transparency that vary depending on the position from which it is viewed.

Space: Created by groups of dots positioned at varying distances and depths, this design is unusual for its slightly rippled texture. The result is elusive, indefinite, with unexpected fragments of light filtering through a unique glass surface.

Numerous applications, unlimited creativity

Oltreluce can be used in multiple interior applications (sliding and fixed partitions, doors, furniture, showers, etc.) as well as exterior applications (windows, doors and glass facades). Whether tempered, laminated or assembled into double glazing units: Oltreluce helps designers and architects unleash their creative muse.

This new collection will be previewed at the Interieur show in Kortrijk, Belgium, from 20 to 28 October 2012. We look forward to seeing you on stand 451 in Hall 4.
