Market-leading conservatory roof glass units, Pilkington Cervoglass Activ™ and Pilkington Cervoglass™ Sun are now available with our ultra low emissivity coated glass as the inner pane, improving U-value in preparation for the new Part L of the Building Regulations 2010.The changes, which come into force in October this year, will see new dwellings require CO2 reductions of 25 percent.
Dave Storer, Sales Manager for Pilkington, said: “With Pilkington Cervoglass™ conservatory roof units now available with a U-value of 1.1, we are able to offer installers and homeowners the most energy efficient conservatory glazing. Our unique offering gives Pilkington Cervoglass™ conservatory installers the opportunity to add value to their products in a competitive market place by supplying homeowners with low emissivity before the new building regulations come into force. Homeowners will benefit since they will increase the number of days in the year when their conservatory will feel comfortable.”
Glass roofs incorporating Pilkington Cervoglass™ Sun provide solar control to help keep conservatories cooler when it’s hot outside and warmer when the weather is cold. Pilkington Cervoglass Activ™ also incorporates Pilkington Activ™ self-cleaning technology, together with solar control, safety and thermal insulation. All this comes with the quality and service package offered by our Pilkington Aintree business with on-time delivery to site.
