As a service to the glass industry that, in view of a furnace repair, is thinking about procuring fused-cast from a low-cost source, I will supply some independent opinion, based on actual facts.
Clearly, general advices available from suppliers are biased by commercial interests (one way or the other), and really few players have the necessary technological and first hand knowledge to provide a realistic picture of the present status.
