Bystronic - Lenhardt at Glasstec 2002

Date: 26 October 2002

At its newly designed booth at GLASSTEC 2002, Bystronic - Lenhardt will present the following new and advanced developments under production conditions:New Bystronic automotive glass processing system with glass loading robot, shape cutting, breaking, grinding and drilling machine in compact design Lenhardt TPSâ -I.G. production line with following new features:- Fully automatic, optical glass plate inspection system "Vision Master" - Automatic muntin bar positioning stationBystronic demonstrates a new, efficient automotive glass processing system for sidelites, including a glass-loading robot, shape cutting, breaking and grinding machine, as well as an integrated drilling machine. The compact system concept was further developed and guarantees highest process precision and accuracy of part shape with maintaining short cycle times.

The process sequence is program controlled, avoiding mechanical positioning. The high degree of automation ensures short change-overs and an efficient usage of the system with a minimum requirement for operating personnel.

The newly developed X-Y-drilling machine offers a high flexibility and covers a large process area. Given the modular construction concept several drill stations may be installed in series in order to perform complex drilling plans within the specified cycle time.

The standard equipment of this drill includes an automatic calibration system to determine the drill height, an automatic dressing device, as well as an efficient coolant evacuation.
