AluFoldDirect has helped Wrexham-based window and door installer Trade Direct to make the most of the growth in aluminium bi-fold doors.

“We’ve been using AluFoldDirect for 18 months and getting lots of new business from homeowners who are looking for aluminium – it’s mainly bi-fold doors, but we’ve also installed aluminium windows,” explains Jenny Crisp at Trade Direct.

“Getting started was easy. AluFoldDirect gave us samples and brochures to put in our showroom and it’s gone from there. Once customers knew we offer aluminium bi-folds, we started winning new business and it’s not stopped.

“The quality is brilliant. AluFoldDirect products are spot-on and the level of knowledge about aluminium is incredible. Whatever we need, AluFoldDirect is always on the end of the phone and they’re really helpful with any technical issues. The customer service of our main contact at AluFoldDirect, Chris Stretten, is faultless and he always looks after us.

“The fact that AluFoldDirect delivers straight to site makes life easy for our installers, and in unbranded vans so our customers only have to deal with us.”

In its latest installation using AluFoldDirect, Trade Direct completed a kitchen/diner refurbishment with aluminium bi-fold doors to achieve an open aspect into the garden and patio area.

The doors have been installed lower than the internal floor level to give a level threshold whilst still maintaining the weather rated seal. The design includes a centre traffic door for easy access into the garden.

Jenny says: “This is a great example of how AluFoldDirect delivers outstanding results every time. We explained what we needed for the job, gave the measurements and the bi-fold doors were delivered direct to site in 2 weeks.”
