YKK AP America’s New Architectural Products Manufacturing Facility in Texas Set to Open in July 2014

Date: 9 April 2014

YKK AP America today announced final plans to launch a new manufacturing center in the state of Texas.

The company’s initial intent to expand in Texas was revealed during the Texas Society of Architects Convention in Fort Worth on Nov. 7, 2013.  The new facility – set to open in July 2014 in Coppell – is the first major manufacturing and logistics center for the company outside of the state of Georgia.YKK AP’s flagship plant in Dublin, Ga. opened in 1991.

“The new operation in Coppell will greatly enhance the company’s ability to service the local market versus its current regional branch location,” said Oliver Stepe, senior vice president, YKK AP America. “Texas is a continual focal point for YKK AP America as we look to expand in the local area as well as the western United States.”

The fenestration manufacturer will also exhibit and host an exclusive “Market Outlook” luncheon for show attendees during Glass TEXpo 2014 in San Antonio, Texas, April 10-11. The exclusive luncheon will take place on April 10 at 12:00 p.m. CDT in the Wyndham Hotel San Antonio Riverwalk Ballroom, Executive Salon 2, Third Floor. YKK AP will present attendees an outlook on the Texas construction market, strategies to exceed business goals, and offer insights on the region’s expansion efforts in preparation for the new facility opening. Contractors can contact their local YKK AP sales professional to secure an invitation.

“Glass TEXpo provides us another opportunity to engage the Texas market and highlight YKK AP’s exclusive offerings, customer service, and future plans in the region,” said Stepe.
