YKK AP America Grows Chicago Branch Team with Two New Hires

Wenzel and Vainer together bring over 20 years of experience to territory – YKK AP America continues to increase its presence in the Midwest region with the appointment of Kurt Wenzel and Paul Vainer.  Wenzel joins YKK AP as an architectural sales representative out of the Chicago branch.

In his new role Wenzel will be responsible for assisting customers in the Chicago metropolitan territory, sharing YKK AP’s latest products with architects and assisting with the product selection process.

Vainer will also join the Chicago branch in the role of sales representative for the state of Michigan and other assigned geography. Based in the greater Detroit area, Vainer will be responsible for all customer and architectural representation for the company’s direct sales efforts in the area.

Both Kurt and Paul have extensive knowledge of the window and door business, which will be an asset as they work with customers and architects on a day-to-day basis.”

Wenzel has 17 years of experience in the commercial aluminum window and door business. His background includes a variety of roles in the fenestration industry, including product promotion, estimating, engineering, project management and sales.

Vainer also has a background in the glass and glazing industry, bringing over five years of experience to YKK AP. With roles in project coordination, estimating and product marketing, Vainer has unique customer and technical product knowledge and insights that will make him an asset to the branch.
