The process will now come courtesy of partner (and down-the-street neighbor) All Weather Tempering, a family-owned company with a state-of-the-art insulated glass facility. The new partnership will allow Western Window Systems to expand its production capacity, continue its aggressive lead times, and provide much-needed space on its manufacturing floor for the development of future product lines.
“It was a tough decision to leave the business we originally started,” says Western Window Systems President Jason Funk. “And it wasn’t until we found a partner like All Weather that we started to take the idea seriously. I didn’t think anyone could manufacture insulated glass as well as we could, but All Weather does – and they’ve got the technology to do it cleaner and quicker.”
Featuring an advanced insulated glass production line, All Weather’s fully automatic system features warm edge thermoplastic spacer (TPS) technology, a spacer system that not only improves the energy efficiency and flexibility of insulated glass units, but is one of the most sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions in the industry.
Funk says All Weather Tempering will begin handling the majority of insulated glass production beginning the week of April 14. He goes on to say that employees at Western Window Systems formerly involved in insulated glass manufacturing will be utilized in other areas of the rapidly growing business.
