Vietnam Glass fires up new furnace in Ba Ria-Vung Tau

Vietnam Glass Industries Limited (VGI) yesterday started firing up a 30-hectare glass furnace in MyXuan A industrial Park in southern Ba Ria- Vung Tau Province, preparing for the first batch of grass products this month.





The glass factory, which has total investment capital of US$96.2 million, has a production capacity of 500 tonnes of glass products per day. The factory will start operation after a half month for warming up the glass furnace, said Yoshikazu Morita, general director of VGI.



VGI is a subsidiary company of Japan-based Nippon Sheet Glass Group. The glass factory in My Xuan A industrial Park is the 51st one by the Japanese group worldwide, and the second factory in Vietnam by the group.
