Fitted to both sides of the door, the Ultimate Evolution adjustable jamb makes squaring and setting faster by accommodating imperfections in brick work.
With a 4mm tolerance on each jamb, this can cut installation time to as little as 45 minutes, saving fitters time on site, supporting a better fit and through-life operation.
Steve Mines, Sales Director, Sliders UK said: “We have a technical support team out on the road, to support customers – normally builders but one or two installers – to correct the running of installed doors.
“9 times out of 10, the issues are caused because doors haven’t been installed square. Over-packing, under-packing against walls – it all contributes to putting the door out of square.
“The adjustable jamb option simplifies installation – it’s forgiving! And that saves time on site and time lost in call backs.”
The Ultimate Evolution aluminium bi-fold door was launched by Sliders UK at the tail end of last year.
It’s available in multiple panel configurations including open-in or open-out, with a maximum sash height and width of 3000mm x 1200mm.
With colour-matched handles and magnetic door holders, a low threshold option and 30mm polyamide thermal break for increased thermal values, it is also fully tested to PAS 24 and BS6375 Part 1 Weather Testing.
Alongside the Ultimate Evolution, Sliders UK, which completed an MBO in April, also offers the ALUK bi-fold.
It also recently launched Duraflex’s new PVC-U bi-fold at the tail end of the year. A second PVC-U bi-fold system – and launched in addition to the Eurocell Aspect bi-fold door – it’s Part Q approved and delivers u-values as low as 1.1Wm2/K.
Mines concluded: “We have a really good track record in product development, something which is seen by the new senior management team as key to our future growth.
“We can offer the market two great PVC-U bi-folds and two great aluminum bi-folding doors, each at slightly different price points, which supports our customers in covering all bases.
“The Ultimate Evolution, delivers a level of end user affordability but also packs in margin because of the installation efficiencies that it delivers.”
