SWISSPACER helps Olympic Glass' sales of warm edge sealed units grow

Date: 12 February 2013

Last year sales of SWISSPACER warm edge spacer bars increased by 62% at Olympic Glass. Olympic Glass now uses SWISSPACER for the majority of its warm edge sealed units.    Shaun Harris, General Manager at Olympic Glass says: “We use SWISSPACER in most of our warm edge sealed units.

It gives fantastic results every time and our customers have always been very happy with it. SWISSPACER easily makes the difference between an A and B rated window.

“At present around 65% of our sealed units are made with SWISSPACER, up from 40% in 2011. We expect this figure to grow as demand for energy efficient windows increases. In particular we’re sure triple glazing will take off over the next few years. SWISSPACER is ideal for triple glazed units as it is strong enough to cope with the extra weight of a third pane of glass.”

SWISSPACER is the UK and Ireland’s leading spacer bar. It has the exact dimensions as traditional aluminium spacer bars so can be used on existing machinery with no additional investment. For large scale IGU manufacturers a range of high-speed automated welding machines is available for maximum productivity.

Olympic Glass is based in Sheerness, Kent, and is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of sealed units and safety glass. For further information call 01795 668 333 or visit www.olympicglass.co.uk
