Stained glass a lasting legacy for local artist

John Vander Burgh's artwork will be remembered for generations to come in Zeeland.Vander Burgh created stained glass pieces for numerous churches and businesses, including Community Reformed Church, where his funeral services are this morning.

Vander Burgh, 87, died Wednesday.

A graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, Vander Burgh emigrated from the Netherlands in 1951 and opened the Vander Burgh Art Studio in Zeeland in 1960.
