Madison Heights, MI – Sika Corporation announces it has established a Silicone Competency Center, headquartered in Lakewood, New Jersey.

This action follows announcement of the formation of the Sika FFI – Facades, Fenestration and Insulating Glass Business Unit. The Silicone competency center is positioned to serve the comprehensive needs of customers in the North American Facades Fenestration, and Insulating Glass marketplace, as well as the broad base of customers in the Construction Products market segment.  The center also will serve internally for formulation, application, testing and manufacturing excellence.



The Silicone Competency Center is headed by Steve Rosenberg, Senior Vice President, Research and Development.  Reporting to Rosenberg is Jeff Knepper, Manager Silicone Research and Development, an Industry Veteran with over 30 years experience in silicone formulation and technology with May National, Honeywell and Ciba-Geigy.  An expanded Technical staff within the competency center report to Knepper.
