Launched in 2009 by Rolltech, Chromatech Ultra is the first hybrid spacer developed by the company. Made of stainless steel and specially processed plastic blends, this innovative warm edge profile ensures significant benefits in terms of thermal resistance and very low level solar heat gain.
Thanks to its solid performance, Chromatech Ultra was immediately a huge success. During the last three years, the company has recorded amazing growth data for this particular profile and, to meet increased demand from Southern Europe, starting in 2011 it also launched production in Italy.
The current year also got off to a very promising start. In the spring of 2012, the first extrusion line for the special plastic materials needed to manufacture Chromatech Ultra will be installed in the Hjørring plant in Denmark. Rolltech has decided to implement a new phase in its development, focusing on the added value derived from the integration of its entire supply chain.
This key first step toward the integration of all its production activities will not be an isolated event, and will guarantee that Rolltech has control of and complete availability of the basic technological know how, and countless possibilities for development.
Once it is in full operation, the extrusion line will produce high quality profiles ready to be inserted directly in the Chromatech Ultra production line, thus cutting time and costs of transport, and will ensure a more streamlined handling of the various phases of the production process.
This investment will also bring additional advantages to the entire Glass Alliance group - the international network and global leader in IG products, composed of Fenzi, Alu-Pro and Rolltech.
The new production line installed by Rolltech will allow the group to build precious internal skills and to undertake new business opportunities. http://www.rolltech.dk/
