The addition of Infinity’s product line, provides a significant opportunity for Pyrotek to increase its range of consumable products and level of support to glass customers worldwide.“Because Infinity and Pyrotek had been serving the same customers (including Saint-Gobain, Ardagh and Owens-Illinois, among others), this expanded business line will allow Pyrotek sales engineers to broaden the scope of products and services offered to container glass manufacturers,” says Tim March, Pyrotek’s, Carlisle, Pennsylvania-based Global Glass Industry Business Unit Manager.Infinity, which was launched in 1999, employs 20 people, all, including owner David Bridgewater, will remain with Pyrotek. The Tulsa operation acquired by Pyrotek manufactures precision machined parts and assemblies critical to an IS machine’s operation including blank-and-blow mould holders with upper and lower inserts and a blank mould cooling system. It also manufactures a servo stacker mechanism with over 70 units in operation around the world.
