On 12th April, Peng Shou, president of ICG, board chairman and president of CTIEC, attended 2014 International Advanced Glass Melting Technology Seminar in Shanghai and made a speech at the opening ceremony.

Peng Shou expressed warmhearted congratulations on the smooth convening of the meeting in his speech.He said that in the face of the pressure of resource and environment protection, glass industry urgently needs to promote glass melting technology and process innovation in the field of recycling economy, promote structural adjustment and transformation and upgrading, improve resource utilization efficiency and product quality, broaden range of application, and reduce energy consumption and emission, meeting the need of sustainable development. He hoped specialists and scholars at the conference could air their views freely, have in-depth communication, and enhance exchanges. Meanwhile, he hoped that more outstanding experts and scholars from China glass industry could take an active part in the work and communication of ICG, discuss the development of glass technology, create splendid future of world glass industry, and benefit the whole world together with scientists from all over the world.
