PPG Industries' automotive refinish business is launching the MVP Webinar Series, an educational program of online seminars for owners and managers of collision repair shops and their PBE distributors.

Hosted by experts from PPG's MVP Business Solutions group, the interactive Webinars are designed to cover industry trends and best practices, and keep participants informed of the resources, services and training available to help body shops improve throughput performance and grow their business.

"Our MVP Webinars provide a convenient means for our customers to stay abreast of industry trends and to keep informed of the resources available to them," said Jim Berkey, director of PPG Business Solutions. "All an interested party needs to do to sign up for a Webinar is to contact a PPG distributor or representative and an invitation will be e-mailed back to them."

According to Rich Altieri, senior manager, PPG Business Solutions, "We received very positive customer feedback on the Throughput Performance Solutions pilot webinar held March 28th, and that reinforced the decision to expand the MVP Webinar program into an ongoing series."

The next webinar, "Capitalizing on Collision Industry Changes," is scheduled for Thurs., April 26, and will provide insights into industry changes and how to capitalize by turning those changes into competitive opportunities. Discussion points will include key industry trends, critical factors for collision center success, an overview of PPG's new MVP Business Development Training Series and Throughput Performance Green Belt Training.

Owners and managers of body shops interested in attending the upcoming Webinar are asked to contact their local PPG distributors or PPG representatives.

MVP Services from PPG was the first program of its kind to offer real-world benchmarking and performance analysis for the collision repair industry. Over a 10-year span, more than 6,000 collision shops have taken advantage of MVP tools and services as a means of achieving continual process improvement and business growth. Today MVP services include real-world benchmarking, facility design, throughput performance training, peer-to-peer forums and numerous business development training courses focusing on the key factors that impact shop performance and profitability.
