Show highlights

Vladimir oblast presented the Steklograd cluster of 16 manufacturing companies. The stand demonstrated the entire product line of local industry manufacturers from small glassware for everyday use to artistic products of Gus glass makers. There were also auxiliary equipment for glass production and glass moulding machines.

The group stand of Nizhny Novgorod oblast featured Balakhninsky Glass (production and decoration of glass bottles), Rusbutyral (film production), TS-COM (glass processing and tempering), and MVM (mirror and glass manufacturing and processing). Regional companies were supported by the Nizhny Novgorod Export Support Center within the Small and Medium Entrepreneurship National Project.

The extensive showcase of Mir Stekla 2024 presented the main trends in glazing. The first one was panoramic glazing, which is clearly visible in architecture. The second trend is safety glazing, which logically continues the previous one as the larger the area of glazing, the higher the risks of its destruction and the stricter the safety requirements. The third trend is glass panels for wall coverage, stair treads and railings, canopies, all-glass partitions, and the use of glass in furniture. This trend is not new, but it is clearly gaining momentum. The fourth trend is glass decoration including equipment for glass artwork and materials for glass colouring.

Mir Stekla 2024 offered technological tours around the showcase of leading Chinese manufacturers. The tours were conducted by Glass Institute experts Stanislav Chesnokov and Svetlana Zavarina. They told about the specialisation of Chinese manufacturers, features and advantages of the showcased products, and helped to establish contacts.

The Chinese exhibitors included leading equipment and component manufacturers such as Foshan Shunde Zhengyi Glass Machinery Co., Ltd., Fujian Baineng CNC Equipment Co., Ltd., Green Vine Machinery, Hi-tech Hardware Industrial Co., Ltd., and Qinhuangdao Green Star Mirror Co., Ltd., who demonstrated deep glass processing equipment and glass machine solutions, laser engraving machines, automatic and intelligent glass machines, glass window and door hardware, mirrors, glass, and much more.
