Pilkington continues to expand its Automotive Glass Replacement business in Mexico with the opening of a new AGR service center in Villahermosa.

"This new service center allows us to cover Southeast Mexico and extend our position all the way to the Yucatan Peninsula," said Eduardo Alejandre, regional general manager. This region is very important in the growth strategy in Mexico. The opening of this service center will allow Pilkington to take significant market share as the only glass competitor in the region."

The grand opening event for the new service center included an Expo, where several accessories suppliers displayed their products. Customers had the opportunity to see the new operation and the latest tools for glass installation.

"This kick-start of our new service center was a way to communicate with our customers," said Eduardo. "We have done this with our other openings and it has been very effective."

It was a success at Villahermosa as well, drawing more than 100 guests. The event was well coordinated by Laura Fregoso, operations manager, Jorge Gonzalez, sales representative and Miguel Garcia, operations coordinator.

The Villahermosa Service Center is the fifth full service center in Mexico, along with two smaller satellite locations.
