Domino’s stylized map of its three state distribution system is a tasty treat.

How does the worldwide leader in pizza delivery show off its distribution prowess in style? Domino’s Pizza is an iconic brand and industry leader in the pizza world. In Grand Prairie, Texas they have a location for employee training and supply chain logistics and distribution.

This structure recently underwent a major construction upgrade and during that time the question noted above was asked. In the end the team from M3 Glass Technologies delivered the order with the same precision that Domino’s does from their stores all over the world.

M3 Glass Technologies is one of the leading decorative and specialty glass manufacturers in the United States. Coming with the right ingredients to satisfy a client’s appetite for the right look is something they do every day. M3 learned that Domino’s considered traditional options like paper or plastic for the map, but like a generic pizza pie, that wasn’t going to cut it.

“We’ve been in glass since 1956 and I knew right away the perfect look for this project would be our MPrint custom digital printing on glass,” said Chris Mammen, M3 Glass Technologies. “We could truly make the three state distribution map come to life because our technology is so vivid and intense.”

MPrint is an innovation that allows for the creation of elegant, precise glass effects. This advanced technology prints designs, patterns, and logos at 720 dpi, allowing a wide variety of artwork to be directly applied to any glass products. In this case Domino’s can get a map with amazing clarity and depth, showing their impressive network of locations.

At the Domino’s Supply Chain Center, there are two identical maps- one in the employee training room and one in the main lobby area. The maps are 60” x 60” and are mounted to the wall with custom hardware. M3 manufactured the MPrint process on to low iron glass and the design was the perfect answer for the look Domino’s was after. M3 took a map of the three states that would be featured on the piece (Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas) and outlined it in a color that matched the blue in Domino’s logo. Then they laid out the routing in all 3 states and topped it off with a very special touch.

“The Domino’s logo is one of the most recognizable brand marks in the world. We decided the best way to show the store locations on the map would be with the Domino’s logo,“ Mammen added. “Anyone can put up a common marking but with MPrint, the technology allows us to go above and beyond and in this case it was an easy call.”

M3 Glass Technologies specializes in sophisticated and unique decorative glass. Whether it’s a corporate identity or a colorful aesthetic approach, the MPrint process is up to the task. Domino’s can now show off the way its routing works and M3 can take pride in creating and delivering an outstanding and satisfying order.
