Bloomberg reported that Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp., Sony Corp., Asahi Glass Co. and other Japanese companies are wooing Middle Eastern investors to bolster their declining share prices, the Nikkei English News reported today.





A director of NTT visited investors in the Middle East, Nikkei said, without saying where it got the information. The chief financial officer of Sony's U.S. unit attended a seminar at the end of last year held by a Persian Gulf state fund, which in November said it bought Sony's shares, Nikkei said.



A vice president of Asahi Glass went to the region for the first time last year, while officials from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. briefed Middle Eastern investors on the progress of its business plan, Nikkei said without citing anyone.
