On December 24, 2021, in the lecture hall of School of Architecture of Henan University of Science and Technology, Luoyang NorthGlass SiNest Technology Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as: NorthGlass SiNest) and School of Architecture of Henan University of Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as: School of Architecture of HAUST) conducted the awards and cooperation signing ceremony for “NorthGlass SiNest lightweight microcrystal prefabricated construction innovation competition”.

More than nearly 100 leaders and students including Jiang Wei, General Manager of NorthGlass SiNest, Feng Mingsong, Chief engineer, Zhou Feng , Deputy General Manager, Fang Chuanxi, Party Secretary of School of Architecture of HAUST, Pei Xuesheng, Deputy Director of Social Science Department of HAUST, Ye Ping, Vice President of School of Architecture of HAUST, attended the ceremony.

Jiang Wei, general manager of NorthGlass SiNest, delivered the opening speech. He firstly thanked all the teachers and students who participated in the Mightweight Microcrystal Stone Innovation Competition, and congratulated the winners. The active participation and the dimensions involved in the work once again confirmed the prospect of the application of new materials in SiNest.

He said that the competition will become a good start for the industry-university-research cooperation with the School of Architecture of HAUST, and open up a deeper and broader cooperation with the School of Architecture. In the future, both sides will play their respective advantages, the scientific research results will be quickly transformed into productivity based on NorthGlass strong production capacity and market acuity combining the university research ability, which will promote the process of prefabricated building industrialization together. At the same time NorthGlass also will provide students with more training, practice, employment opportunities, let the students earlier understand market frontier information and technology, in order to achieve win-win cooperation.

Fang Chuanxi, Party Secretary of the School of Architecture, said that the new wall material lightweight microcrystal developed by NorthGlass SiNest is a revolutionary material of new prefabricated buildings. It has many advantages such as lightweight and high strength, fire resistance, thermal insulation, sound absorption and noise reduction, and has wide application prospects in the construction industry. NorthGlass SiNest has also independently developed a supporting green environmental automation production line, showing its strong research and development and production capacity. 

School of Architecture of HAUST has a long history and strong teaching and research platform and experience of talent training. The signing of industry-university-research cooperation agreement with NorthGlass SiNest will surely promote our deeper cooperation in the design, promotion and application of new materials, and boost the prosperity and progress of new materials and new technologies.

This time, NorhtGlass SiNest sponsored innovation competition is an important test of the teaching and research achievements of School of Architecture. Combining new prefabricated buildings into the theory and practice of the teaching classroom, and the promotion and application of lightweight microcrystal stone will also open up new fields for the scientific research direction of our school.

Pei Xuesheng, Deputy Director of Social Science Department of HAUST, summarized the competition and talked about industry-university-research cooperation is a new mode of cultivating innovative talents. The perfect cooperation between NorthGlass and HAUST is both practical significance and commercial value, on the one hand, the students' design ability gets the chance to practice, on the other hand, understanding for the performance of new material lightweight microcrystalline provides a new possibility for future design selection, especially the environmental protection and energy saving products, it must be the direction of future development.

NorthGlass SiNest

Relying on the innovative practice of various colleges and universities, NorthGlass SiNest will gradually build an industry-university-research cooperation platform, and actively promote the implementation of more SiNest lightweight microcrystal stone integrated wall projects. At the end of the ceremony, under the witness of the participants, Jiang Wei, general manager of NorthGlass SiNest, signed an industry-university-research agreement with Ye Ping, vice president of the School of Architecture, which played a new movement of university-enterprise cooperation.
