Nippon Sheet Glass Co said Monday its group sales and profit increased sharply in the first three quarters of fiscal 2006 thanks to its acquisition of major British glassmaker Pilkington plc as a consolidated subsidiary in June last year.





Nippon Sheet Glass posted a net profit of 28.17 billion yen in the April-December period of last year, up 386.9%, or 4.9-fold, over a year earlier, on a 154.3% jump in sales to 485.94 billion yen.
