Andy Jones, Managing Director of Edgetech explains more: “While we knew thanks to the investment in product design and testing that the TruPlas spacer would be a winner, we didn’t realise quite how popular it would be.Within weeks of the show, orders are already coming in from both existing Super Spacer customers and new companies looking to replace their existing tubular bar supply.
“The new composite warm edge tubular spacer is compatible with all secondary sealant types with butyl primary seal, and features our tried and tested true vapour barrier. Available with standard or gas filled corner keys, the product has passed EN1279 Parts 2, 3 and 6. Significantly, it can be processed with standard equipment and requires no investment in specialist machinery – just a visit from our nationwide technical team. For companies requiring high volume production we have machinery available which automates manufacture by bending the spacer.
“Also available for more specialist applications, is the TruPlas SDL. This effective solution for Simulated Dividing Lights with surface mounted astragal bars combines outstanding thermal performance with an authentic ‘traditional’ appearance. The addition of TruPlas to our product portfolio now means Edgetech customers can benefit from a spacer for every application: single seal (Duralite), dual seal (TruPlas rigid and Super Spacer flexible) and Triple seal spacer systems (TriSeal and T-Spacer).”
