The first public samples of these glass whiteboards are being displayed at the Corning booth inside the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show, January 7th through January 10th.Corning will be giving a number of the boards away as prizes throughout the show. The new line of glass whiteboards will also feature prominently on www.glassboards.com, another MooreCo Inc. project launching today.
The new website, located at www.glassboards.com, focuses on serving the expanding needs of the glass whiteboard and custom glass dry erase marketplaces. Glass whiteboards have been growing in popularity over the last few years, with consumers increasingly favoring their unique texture and excellent writing surface. Previously, most glass whiteboards available on the market had been heavier than their traditional porcelain whiteboard alternatives. With this development between Corning and MooreCo, consumers and institutions now have access to a uniquely durable, lightweight, and attractive glass whiteboard product.
“Our Visionary, Insight, and Enlighten lines have been very popular within their markets, so we are definitely excited to be able to offer this new line of boards,” commented Greg Moore, CEO of MooreCo, ”Corning Gorilla Glass has earned an excellent reputation and we are confident that our customers will benefit from this collaboration. The minimal weight, thinner profile, and increased durability of this glass will enable them to find new and even more creative uses to give their spaces that ‘Wow’ factor. Coupled with our outstanding custom printing and color options on these products, we are sure to see some very innovative uses for these boards.”
“We see advanced glass as an essential material in enabling a world with enhanced communication tools. MooreCo Inc. with its well-known brands Best-Rite and Balt has a reputation for delivering quality commercial and education products,” said David Loeber, Corning Large Cover Glass business director. “Gorilla Glass is an advanced solution that can be cleaned repeatedly with a microfiber cloth, and its non-staining surface will remain optically-clear to promote legibility and longevity. We are pleased that an established company such as MooreCo Inc. has recognized the quality and reliability that Gorilla Glass can add to the end product.”
