Expanding its focus on the high performance adhesives market in Europe, the Resin and Additives business unit of Solutia Inc. recently announced the appointment of a new product manager for the Gelva adhesives line, to be based in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.

Nathalie Delava has been named the business unit's product manager - Adhesives for Europe. Delava brings 13 years of marketing and technical experience in polymers, performance chemicals and resins to the new position. Most recently, she served as market development specialist for the technical resins line of Solutia's Resins and Additives business unit. In her new position, Delava will be responsible for developing business plans and marketing programs to promote the growth of Solutia's extensive range of high-performance pressure sensitive adhesive products throughout Europe. Delava will report to Steven Zollmann, European Business Director for Solutia Resins and Additives.

Along with an extensive background in sales development and marketing and technical service at Solutia and Monsanto, Delava holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the United Business Institute in Brussels, and a civil engineering degree in material science from the Université Catholique de Louvain-la-Neuve.

Solutia manufactures and markets a broad range of high-performance pressure sensitive adhesives, sold worldwide under the Gelva trademark. The product line includes dozens of highly specialized Gelva adhesives (both emulsion and solvent-based), used for demanding applications in industries such as graphics and printing, automotive, medical, and solar films.
