National Fabricator Direct Trade Partners With Pilkington United Kingdom Limited For Superior Energy-efficient IGUs

Date: 7 April 2015

Direct Trade, one of the UK’s leading fabricators of windows, doors and conservatories, has selected Pilkington United Kingdom Limited, part of the NSG Group, as its primary glass supplier in a projected multi-million-pound agreement.

The one-year arrangement will see the trade specialist source Pilkington energiKare™ insulating sealed glass units for all of the windows, doors and conservatory walls it fabricates for its customers across the UK.Yorkshire based Direct Trade has already offered Pilkington energiKare™ energy-efficient glazing as standard for over 10 years, but this is the first time a formal partnership has been signed between the two brands.

Steve Green, Managing Director of Direct Trade, said: “As a forward thinking fabricator we were one of the first to achieve an A+ Window Energy Rating under the BFRC scheme. We strive to lower the U-value on all products to ensure our installer base can provide their customers with added value, energy efficient doors and windows which keep the heat where it belongs – in their home. Incorporating the Pilkington energiKare™ range of products into our offering has played an important part in successfully achieving this.

“Rising energy prices are a real concern for homeowners, so the demand for high quality, efficient glazing has understandably intensified. We make it our business to only work with those components which will give our products the best possible U-values and found Pilkington energiKare™ to be the ideal solution for glass.”
