NAHB Research Center announces new director of quality programs

Date: 14 June 2002

The NAHB Research Center announced that John Novosel has joined its professional staff as director of quality programs. This position entails management of the Research Center's overall National Housing Quality Program, and the annual National Housing Quality Award.

Novosel will also contribute his extensive experience in quality assurance to the ongoing development of the Research Center's Certified Trade Contractor Program. Through articles he will author and meetings with senior management from leading-edge, quality-minded construction companies, Novosel will help to identify quality best practices in the home building industry and disseminate the lessons learned.

"I'm excited to be involved with the NAHB Research Center and its quality programs," said Novosel. "Helping the home building industry improve the quality of its business practices and its products directly relates to the 'American dream' of homeownership. Quality builders provide their customers with a more satisfying and more valuable homebuying experience, while at the same time constantly refining and enhancing their business capabilities."

Novosel brings over 20 years of experience in Total Quality Management and, most recently, ISO 9000 to this position. His previous experience includes director of operations for L3 APCOM Division, quality services operations resource manager for British Standards Institution and quality assurance manager for Pulse Electronics.
