Mexican glass maker Vitro said on Friday a subsidiary took out a credit for $230 million to pay down debt. "The funds will be used by Vitro Envases Norteamericana to pay liabilities of the holding company," Vitro said in a statement.
Vitro, which makes a range of glass for the auto, bottling and construction industries and also glassware, said the credit falls due in 2006.
