Grenzebach Maschi-nenbau showed a lot of innovative technology for the glass and solar branch on their new, two-story fair stand.
„For us, glasstec is the most important fair world-wide" explains Egbert Wenninger, member of the management and responsible for Glass and Solar Sales world-wide. „This year we could notice economic recovery in all sectors of our markets. The Glass as well as the Solar sector showed increased investment activities; there were again discussions about concrete projects,” he adds. Of course, Grenzebach was especially pleased about the two orders for a total value of more than 5 Mio €, which were placed at the fair.
This year’s combination of solarpeq and glasstec had a very positive response for providers of the thin-film technology as Grenzebach. „In our solar circle we exhibited technologies at the fair, which are innovative as well as useful to our customers for the production of flat glass and thin-film solar modules.” A newly developed ultra-sound gripper for instance handles solar modules without touching them. The also “non-contact” energy and data transfer allows for a carriage for glass cassettes with-out damageable cable guide chains. A new kind of ultrasonic welding procedure cre-ates a fixed connection between metal and glass and will for the future provide a mul-titude of applications for glass and solar modules.
