Directors of PPG Industries have elected Martin H. Richenhagen a member of the company's board, effective Sept. 1, 2007.

He is chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of AGCO Corp., Duluth, Ga., a leading manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment.Richenhagen joined AGCO in March 2004 as president and chief executive officer, and he was named chairman of the board Aug. 15, 2006.Prior to joining AGCO, Richenhagen was executive vice president at Forbo International SA, a manufacturing firm headquartered in Switzerland, and group president for CLAAS KgaA mbH, a global manufacturer of agricultural equipment headquartered in Germany.Prior to 1995, he was senior executive vice president of field operations for Schindler Holding GmbH in Germany.



Richenhagen holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Bonn, Germany, and a degree from the University of Cologne.
