Leadership Changes Announced for Auto OEM Coatings, P&IP

DuPont has named BC Chong as vice president and general manager – DuPont Automotive OEM Coatings, succeeding Marty McQuade who plans to retire following 31 years of service.

BC is currently VP/GM for DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers (P&IP).







Bill Weber, currently global business director – Ethylene Copolymers in P&IP, will succeed BC as vice president and general manager of P&IP. Both positions take effect July 1.



In 2009, BC will relocate to Shanghai – a move that will further strengthen the Automotive OEM Coatings market position in Asia Pacific where a significant part of the automotive industry’s future growth is expected to be generated. DuPont also operates OEM Coatings business centers in the Europe and the Americas regions.



Since joining DuPont in 1989 in Singapore, BC has held a variety of business leadership roles in strategic planning, marketing and operations in Asia Pacific and the United States. Bill has held a range of leadership roles, including marketing and operations, in multiple business units since joining DuPont in 1981.
