Kenya Building Materials Exhibition

According to industry analysts in Kenya, residential construction sector is growing rapidly as both the government and private developers are trying to keep up with the soaring demand for housing – occasioned by the rise in population.

Extensive opportunities exist particularly in the construction of middle and low income housing (including prefabricated low-cost housing), manufacture and supply of building materials, renovation and rehabilitation of transport infrastructure.

Turkel Fair Organization Inc. hosted the third Kenya Building Materials Exhibition on December 02-05,2011 at KICC, aimed at providing better investment and business opportunities for the local and international business communities.

The 2011 event gathered more than 70 exhibitors from Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Oman, South Africa, Portugal, Kenya, UAE, Iran, Malaysia, China and Taiwan which showcased various products and services in the Building and Construction industry. The exhibitors had a chance to present their products to the key industry players from East African business community, exporters, real estate investors, provincial investment agencies, manufacturing associations, academics, chambers of commerce and industry, and high profile industry decision makers.

During the 4 days of the Exhibition, the show attracted 4000 visitors not only from Kenya but also from the East African community. Among the visitors, there were property and hospital developers looking for sourcing partners for their projects in Kenya, Uganda and South Sudan.

The four day fair showcased the following Building solutions: Bathroom fixtures, pipes and fittings, window and door systems, ceramics-tiles-marbles-granites, aluminium profiles, bitumen membranes,roofing tiles and components, chemical building supplies, paints, sanitaryware, finishing materials, pool systems, welding-injection-PVC-forming machinery, cranes, concrete plants, energy and infrastructure, gypsum board, kitchen appliances/furniture, scaffolding, steel structure, fences, hand rails, logistic services and many more.

The 4th Kenya Building Materials Exhibition is taking sure steps to be the best construction platform in the East Africa offering different construction solutions, a wide range of products, and presenting new trends in the industry by bringing together the construction market players from all around the world with the East African architects, engineers, project owners, building materials and construction machinery wholesellers, retailers, government bodies, trade press, and the related associations.
