Continuing a long and successful track record, the whole event runs to a tightly controlled schedule to ensure that your time is spent productively, whilst allowing the opportunity for informal contact and meetings with friends and industry experts. We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to an informative workshop being lead by Larry Carbary on Wednesday 12th June from 1300 – 1700 hrs entitled ‘Structural Silicone Glazing and Next Generation Bonding Technologies: Optimising Design and Performance in Façade Systems’.The workshop will give the participants a strong background on Structural Glazing state‐of‐the art principles, tips and latest developments, from design to successful execution built on more than a 40 years global experience in the field. It will cover how the technology provides successful answers to the essential requirements of a façade system around design (transparency, materials, shapes, live loads and dead loads) and performance (thermal properties, safety, durability and impact resistance). Critical requirements and proper quality assurance processes will be highlighted to ensure proper application, documentation and workmanship.
The presenters will show numerous case studies around the world where the techniques were successfully used and demonstrated great performance in a variety of environments and performance requirements. (Seismic, Typhoon, Extreme climate, Blast mitigation) Last but not least, the workshop will cover what are the latest innovations in the field of high strength bonding and high performance insulation that will bring additional benefits for Glass facades and Curtain Wall in front of the challenge for sustainable buildings.
