Distribution Continues to Expand Throughout North America Intermac America, the leading manufacturer of glass and stone fabrication equipment and Biesse S.p.

A. subsidiary, has signed an agreement with Salem Distributing Company to represent Intermac’s glass machinery products throughout North America.



Salem has served the Flat Glass and Mirror market for over 70 years as a major supplier of equipment and supplies. The company markets beveling and edging machines, as well as complete silvering and laminating lines, straight line and shape edgers, waste water treatment systems, sandblasting units and washing machines. Intermac manufactures, sells and services CNC work centers, cutting tables and glass handling machinery, double edgers and drilling machines. Under the new agreement, Intermac’s Service Department will install all Intermac machinery and directly provide technical support, parts and service to Salem customers with Intermac products. Both Intermac and Salem noticed that their glass machinery portfolio complemented against each other well, and in fact the Intermac sales force will sell Salem machinery

lines to Intermac accounts.

Intermac is investing significantly in North America overall, hiring additional staff as well as strengthening its dealer network in support of aggressive expansion plans. North American Glass Product Manager Carey Brayer is leading this effort. “This collaboration between the two strongest glass machinery sales and service organizations in North America provides our joint customers with the largest portfolio of high quality machinery”, commented Brayer. “Both Salem and Intermac customers are already realizing the benefits of this joint effort.”
