More than 100,000 trade visitors came to Nürnberg for the last event in 2008 and a similarly large number of visitors are expected again at this edition of the sector highlight.
“Energy conservation and climate change are still the dominating issues. It will be interesting to see how much spirit of innovation the exhibiting companies show in facing these challenges,” says Willy Viethen, Exhibition Director of fensterbau/frontale at NürnbergMesse, describing the focuses of this year’s exhibition.
The international visitors, who will again come from more than 100 countries, can look forward to a high-quality and clearly structured display of products on the fully booked exhibition site. The promising products and services offered by the exhibitors will set the standards for the coming years.
“The supporting programme is also a must,” continues Viethen. “For example, the special show organized by ift Rosenheim and the German association Fachverband Glas Fenster Fassade Baden-Württemberg provides information on possible ways of improving energy efficiency, living comfort and security. Architects and building planners should make sure they visit the stands with the red “Architects’Area” sign, the Forum Architecture–Windows–Facades and the Innovation Award Architecture–Windows–Facades.”
Roland Kast, Exhibition Director of HOLZ-HANDWERK, which is organized together with the association VDMA Holzbearbeitungsmaschinen, adds: “Organizing both exhibitions in the same place and at the same time is possible due to the networking of the respective sectors – and makes them so attractive. Our extensive and innovative range of products for the wood crafts is particularly intended for small and medium carpentry enterprises and joiners. The opportunities for obtaining information on windows and doors at fensterbau/frontale are also interesting for this target group.”
HOLZ-HANDWERK is the only exhibition forum in 2010 for the woodworking trade primarily from South Germany and the neighbouring regions. Exhibitors and visitors profit from Nürnberg’s central location in an area with a concentration of woodworking craft firms that is unique throughout Europe.
HOLZ-HANDWERK also offers visitors more than the comprehensive display of products, according to Roland Kast: “The visitors can look forward to special shows and events for specific target groups – with something for everyone. A special highlight is the action forum vector organized by VDMA Holzbearbeitungsmaschinen and the ProWood Trust in hall 11. Here the visitors obtain a practical overview of pioneering innovations at HOLZ-HANDWERK. Additional information and inspiration are offered by the special show on the stand of the carpenters’ association Fachverband Schreinerhandwerk Bayern in hall 12 and by the exhibitors at ‘Dreams of Wood’ in the foyer of hall 12.”
