Saint-Gobain has launched from its Mannheim plant in Germany SGG ALBARINO MID HAZE, an extra-clear, high light and energy-transmitting patterned glass.

With a 45% haze factor, it ensures diffuse and homogeneous lighting that optimizes the growth of plants in horticultural greenhouses.

This solution was jointly developed by ARDC (Avilés Research & Development Center) for its prismatic texture, the CRDC (Chantereine Research & Development Center) for its anti-reflective coatings and by SGR (Saint-Gobain Research) for modelling its optical properties.

The Mannheim plant makes the primary SGG ALBARINO MID HAZE glass, as well as the finished glass, cut, shaped, given an anti-reflective coating and tempered, ready to be installed on greenhouse roofs.
