Visitors to the Guardian display (Booth 1073) will discover and experience the latest innovations in glass products, as well as product and service solutions that meet industry and customer needs.
“We continue to add new products and services to bring greater value to our customers across our segments and supply chain,” said Mark LaCasse, Guardian group vice president of North American Flat Glass. “Our GlassBuild exhibit will be bigger and better than ever before.”
Leading off Guardian’s product innovation display will be ClimaGuard’s residential glass solutions: Making its debut is ClimaGuard HiLightR 802, providing more insulation with less glass. HiLightR 802 pairs two ClimaGuard Low-E coatings on a single pane of glass to meet rigorous new energy codes and ENERGY STAR standards in the Northern U.S. and Canada.
Guardian will also launch Guardian ClimaGuard 80/70, low-E glass specifically designed to retain indoor heat and maximize solar heat gain in northern climate zones. ClimaGuard’s display will feature these new products and the ability to pair these advanced Low-E solutions with our ClimaGuard IS family of interior surface coatings.
Also new to this year’s display is Guardian’s latest interior glass innovation: Guardian Switchable Glass. This product transitions from transparent clarity to discreet privacy in a single click. When turned “on,” a low voltage current renders the class clear, turned “off,” the glass becomes a translucent screen. Switchable glass is ideal for walls and partitions, conference rooms, bathrooms and hotel lobbies.
Guardian Switchable Glass is part of the Guardian InGlass product portfolio, which allows customers the opportunity to experience and interact with a variety of glass colors, textures and performance attributes all in one place. Strength, resiliency and a solution to privacy and acoustical needs are just a few of the ways glass provides value as an alternative to traditional materials in interior applications.
Guardian SunGuard will anchor booth 1073 with its two newest advanced technology glazings for commercial applications – SunGuard PVGU and SunGuard EC. SunGuard PVGU combines Pythagoras Solar Photovoltaic Glass Units (PVGU) technology with SunGuard advanced architectural glass to create a building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) product. This replaces standard vision glass and skylights with a glass product that converts direct sunlight into energy.
Guardian SunGuard EC incorporates Soladigm Dynamic Glass technology into its SunGuard portfolio of solutions. SunGuard EC changes from clear to tinted on demand, and enables control of heat and glare in buildings while providing greater comfort, uninterrupted views and natural daylight.
In addition to its range of products in booth 1073, Guardian returns as a premiere sponsor of the 7th Annual Glazing Executives Forum September 13th. Presented by NGA Architectural Glazing in conjunction with GlassBuild America, the day-long event features dynamic and informative speakers, peer-to-peer sharing, and fresh updates on challenging topics impacting the industry. The Forum has become the most important annual networking opportunity for leaders of the glazing industry. To register visit www.GlassBuildAmerica.com.
